I DID IT! Weekend Wrap Up!

Why hello Monday, How are you? I am ok seeing you this week, because I HAVE A WEEK BREAK FROM SCHOOL, WAHOOO!

I had a great weekend, so let me tell you ALL ABOUT IT!

Friday was going to be a busy day. Started with my having to drive all the way downtown Indy to the Indianapolis fairgrounds to pick up Erica, Jose and I's race stuff.

I was excited to get my BIB, it felt more official! And we got cool sun glasses, a tattoo, and a T-shirt, which is sadly too small..so something to work forward to be able to fit into it! So driving to the fairgrounds meant driving through downtown, i don't drive much, make Tevis do it he knows his way around usually. Well his eyes aren't the greatest so i asked him to at least go with me so i wouldn't freak out or die, haha. Erica owes me!!!

After we made our trip downtown Indy, Miss Storm had another vet appointment, she is expensive lol. She got another puppy shot, her rabies shot and her nails clipped! She did great of course. She is 30 lbs, she went from 18 to 30 in just three weeks! Our vet thinks she could be a mix of either lab+saint bernard OR lab+newfoundland Either way right now she guesses Storm will be a good 100lbs. She said next visit she will be able to tell even more. We could do a DNA test for like $50 but would only eliminate breeds and not exactly tell us. On another good note, her and Delaney had a better weekend together, besides a little incident last night, but as she gets older and her training classes it will all get better in time. 

After Storms Vet appointment, we waited til it was time to go pick up Delaney for the weekend. We ate at Skyline Chili Friday night and we just love our time with her! Friday night meant, MY BEST FRIEND WAS going to be on her way to my house to stay the night! Erica and her husband showed up before 10pm. I showed her my house :) and we just hung out talked and watched the end of Breaking Dawn part 1.

We woke up bright an early, i was up at 630am and we were out the door around 715amish to stop by the gas station to get some energy drinks haha. I was much better driving downtown to the fairgrounds and way less traffic! We got there at 8am, used restrooms and slowly made our way to the starting spot. 

I wasn't as nervous as I thought i was going to be. Once we got to the starting spot and we were getting hit by color and they were letting wave by wave of people go. I was getting more excited, couldn't believe i was actually doing this. Our wave of people started at like 9:07 and we ran/walked the 5K ColorMeRad in oh about minutes. I DID NOT TRAIN for this run, i ran for a week couple months ago, then we moved and life got busy and exercise was not in my everyday plans. I did a lot better running then i thought and ran more then i thought i would, Erica and I stayed together i sometimes a few steps ahead, i am a fast walker. I had the adrenaline rush and i felt good the whole time. So it has given me the motivation that I can do more of these if i train and run more.

So we of course walked and ran, we would catch our breathe and say lets run to and make a goal and run and sometimes we would both keep going. There was three different down and up hills i ran all those, i felt like it would be an accomplishment if i did. There was alternating Color bomb stations and colored water stations. and I could finally see the bridge at the fairgrounds which meant we were SO CLOSE. i was so excited! WE DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

Jose finished i think 10-20 minutes before us, HE ROCKS! 

This was at home before i was about to jump in the shower and get ready for our celebration lunch at AppleBees! thumbs up for I DID IT!!!!!!!! So proud of myself! 

I ended Saturday with a nice pedicure with Delaney, HER IDEA!

I got a great foot and leg massage, so it was exactly what i needed. 

SUNDAY!

Sundays are for FOOTBALL. Tevis hates it when football season is over. We got to go to our first game of the season today. and they lost BOOO :( but i had a great time with Tevis anyhow! 

So as you can tell I had an awesome weekend! Its sunday night, i am scheduling some posts and enjoying a relaxing night with Tevis and Miss Storm watching Sunday Night Football! I Hope everyone had a great weekend! Thanks in advance for all the support and kind words! 

Delaney turned SEVEN!

I was introduced to Delaney by Tevis June of 2011 and let me tell you what... she stole my heart and has been attached to me ever since! Tevis tends to come second fiddle when it comes to hehe. She had only been five for a little bit when I met her, so her turning seven Saturday just seemed crazy, shes been in my life two years come this summer and we have PLENTY more to go together & of course i hope to make her a big sister some day! Saturday we woke up and got around for the day. Her mom threw her a birthday party at the roller skating rink, it was so cool watching her skate and have some fun and she fell about 502 times, LOL. After her party we got together with some friends of ours and had dinner at Fireside, one of our favorite restaurants. It was a great day and she def. got spoiled.  I will show ya some pictures from our weekend, and don't mind them they are just iPhone pictures, lol! Happy Monday ya'll!

Hey to all my viewers! & HI to my followers!

Little girl who has my heart!

                When Tevis and I started dating I knew he had a daughter and I knew one day when he was ready he would introduce us. What I didn’t know was the love I would have for this child. I met her and she had basically just turned 5, now she will be 7 in a week. Doesn’t seem like two years and let me tell you this.. I love that little girl as my own! I kind of have in the back of my head I won’t be a mother, Tevis won’t have another kid, and she won’t get to be a big sister. SO I like being in that mother role when she is with us, I want to be a mother so bad and Delaney is the closest thing I will get to that probably. I of course can and will NEVER take the place of her own mother, but Delaney is pretty lucky to have two sets of great parents in her life. She is one loved girl and gets lots of attention! Being a step-mom though can be hard to adjust to, I never want to over step my boundaries for one, and I hate being the bad guy and discipline her but she has to know I am boss. I had the hardest time at first getting her to realize she has to listen to me. We would butt heads a lot. We both have attitude like no other and are stubborn and don’t like to share either LOL.  With time it’s gotten so much better. Everything that has gone on with Tevis, I do a lot for him and Delaney, so Delaney has gotten use to me being more of a parent. If I need Tevis to step in he will. Tevis is a great dad, I can’t tell any of you this enough or emphasize on how lucky Delaney is to have a dad that actually cares and loves her and wants to see her. I know a lot of low dead beat dads. Tevis is def. far from that!  Being a step-mom is a choice a choice I made when I decided Tevis was who I wanted. This child your boyfriend/girlfriend has will be forever apart of your life so don’t take that choice lightly. It is a big responsibility, especially to me who was just 21 years old. I Love the decision and made and though I don’t feel complete yet, one day I hope I can make Delaney a big sister, she would be a great big sister!!!

Crazy Indiana Weather!

I wouldn't move away from Indiana mainly because of my family, but gosh darn it...

I AM OVER THE COLD! 

I believe next Thursday is first day of spring, k Indiana lets act like it! So i have been checking the weather all week because I knew Delaney was coming for the weekend and I wanted to help her on her 4H project and take her to the park close by and take some pictures. Beginning of the week the weather said mid 50's, i was excited about that. It literally changed everyday, gr, So woke up today i look outside I see SUNSHINE and check my phone it says 51 degrees, NOPE my phone was wrong it was actually 43. By the time we ate lunch and got to the park the sunshine was gone. :( 

The park just isn't pretty enough to find anything to take pictures of. So we just played for a little bit, we didn't prepare for how cold we would be after 10-15 minutes but we had a blast regardless and i cannot wait for warm weather and to go back with her! :)

After our time at the park we warmed up in the car, which i am thankful for seat warmers and that the car heats up FAST, we went to Meijer so we could get a few things and I wanted to get Delaney a cute Birthday outfit!

She will be SEVEN in exactly two weeks!!!!!!!!!

The rest of our Saturday has been spent on eating dinner and relaxing, its about to be shower time and I am sure Delaney will be passed out soon shes been so quite this evening. I think I wore her out! :)

Its FRIDAY!

Hey my viewers! Happy Friday! I was up until almost 4am, thanks to my boyfriend, So i am very tired! Should sleep good tonight! He has a cold and a bad cough, and got a really high fever over the night so was up making sure he was ok. He seems to have more energy today just that darn cough is terrible, even with cough medicine and cough drops! I was looking forward to Friday because 1-Tevis was suppose to be getting his new prosthetic leg, which we go today and find out it was too long of a process so will go back Monday or Tuesday to get it. So they just was fitting him up for it and i posted a couple pictures to show ya what went on today.

and then the second reason....

Its our weekend with DELANEY! Her mom dropped her off with us at Tevis' appointment so she got to meet Tim(Dr. Hot-stuff) hehe. When we got home it was still decent out so we stayed and played outside for just a little bit! I hope tomorrow is somewhat decent so I can take her to the park for a little bit and take some pictures for her 4H project!  Overall it was a good day, nothing too exciting going on, just glad to have Delaney for the weekend! Tevis is to stay off his leg most of the weekend, so we don't have any plans really. I hope everyone has a great weekend!
