We can Wednesday #16

Hello Friends,
Lady Luck

We Can! Wednesday is a link-up, hosted by LoyalRUN and myself, to help encourage others to make goals and achieve them.
A place where you can fall and we will be there to help lift you back up.
A place where, when you cross that finish line, we will be right there, cheering you on.
No official rules. Just grab a button and then link up above
I can't wait to hear from you!
*********************************************************************************************

Well as you read yesterday, I SAID YES TO THE DRESS,so my goal is continue to lose a little more weight but most definitely not go over board because i cant spend a million dollars on alterations and MOST definitely not gain any weight because you cant add more dress, haha.
SO two years ago i was in a plus size 22 and 2xl in shirts and I can proudly say i bought my wedding dress in a size 16, its fits and everything, almost perfect.

I am not someone who is working out hard core everyday and being very strict with my eating. I am simply working on my will power and portion control. I enjoy yummy foods and still am losing the weight. I started back to counting and logging my calories, that worked from me in the beginning so figured i should get back to it to help me not eat that junk food and realize what i am putting in my body.

SO I am here to tell you, don't give up, don't get down on yourself, today is a NEW DAY, make small changes and work your way up, all the weight you gained wont come off over night, just keep on going and stay positive! Make a game plan and stick to it. Get in facebook support groups, they help i know from experience. Have a friend or family help support you on your bad days!
Another piece of advice I have is to DRINK DRINK DRINK water.
I try to get anywhere between 64oz-100oz of water a day.

I am going to weight myself Saturday and will update you all next week. I broke the 200 more last week so working hard to keep my number under 200. GOOD LUCK TO ALL, i am here for anyone!

Listen up fitness bloggers!

I am late posting today, but had to give you guys some good news! A great giveaway happening next week.

I have been wanting a polar watch to be part of the Cool "fitness" group hehe! Plus i know how much it'll help me be able to step up my game with my exercise.

I could be doing so many other different exercises but without this watch i dont have ANY idea how many calories i am burning.
The same goes when I am doing at home challenges, such as the Get Fit February Challenge
I want to know exactly how many calories I am burning when I work out!
I am hoping it'll help me get motivated to train better for my 5k's i want to sign up for over the spring/summer/fall :)

I just found out today, i have the Polar Watch FT7 on its way as i am typing this! WAHOOO i am only lucky!

I am SO passionate about getting myself a Polar watch that I just figured....

Dr. Oz 2 week plan Challenge!

Erica @ LoyalRUN has always been my biggest supporter with my weight loss journey! When she gave me a new challenge to look into for some better results i was of course scared but i knew i needed to challenge myself with something to see some more results to stay motivated!

We decided to do this after Dr. Oz aired on Monday, and we seen many other bloggers wanting to do the challenge too, so lots of support all over :)

I know for sure that Holly at Where we can live like Jack and Sally && Mel from 4 Kottez Runs It are doing it, anxious to see their results!

We are going to do Dr. Oz's two week Rapid weight loss plan! GO check it out, think about it and get with me if you want to join with us!!!

We are going to start Monday January 13th, and will be sharing our results and journey on Wednesday January 29th.

The diet will consist of....

I plan on going shopping on Sunday for everything I will need and hopefully with the recent snow storm, grocery stores are being restocked!!!

My concerns about this are....
No caffeine, i wake up craving  my dt mt dew, maybe this will help me stop drinking pop altogether
No eating past 8pm, i am a late night snacker. Guess going to bed earlier will be a must.

It is going to be a tough challenge, but boy am i ready for the results!
My goal is 198 by february 9th. Just set a short term goal for me to work towards, it helps me a lot.
Which is a month away and my birthday :)
Today i weighed myself and i am 206, i am pretty confident i will reach my goal and continue to move forward

Good Luck to anyone who is going to be doing this!!!! WE CAN do this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let's try this again!

I start and stop this journey over and over and over!
It's time yet again to try and get back on the right path of leading a healthier lifestyle.
My eating HABITS SUCK!!!!!!

I downloaded My Fitness Pal, logged all my food on Tuesday. My username is britney502.
I hope to continue tracking my calories and getting tons of support from my awesome RLF and Blogger friends.

I do have a cheat day, mainly Saturdays where i don't worry about calories but i will consciously know to be good still. Counting calories suck sometimes lol.

I am drinking a shake for breakfast.
It includes:
Slim fast meal replacement powder
1 cup of milk
fruit.
Altogether about 270 calories.

The last week for my lunches i have been having:
-Turkey Wraps with fruit
-Turkey sandwiches on toasted wheat bread with a bag of baked chips (only 110 calories), string cheese
-Salad & Green Tea
-Tuna Wraps/sandwiches with fruit
-Tuna w/crackers with fruit or whatever

SNACKS:
I just eat whatever fruit or veggies i have in my fridge. :)

Dinner:
It really varies on what I have, i try to look up good healthy recipes. I eat chicken, pork chops, salads, crock pot meals, etc etc.
Tonight i made Chicken, Cauliflower mash and a small salad! && i am under calories still so i will most likely have a healthy snack still before bed :)
This is all it took to make the cauliflower mash. SO GOOD!

Here is the recipe! :)

INGREDIENTS
1 Head Fresh Cauliflower
2 Tablespoons Water
1 Pinch (to taste) Salt
1 Pinch (to taste) pepper
1 Teaspoon Garlic Salt/Powder
Parmesan Cheese(however much you want)
2 Tablespoons Butter

DIRECTIONS
Clean and section Cauliflower,
get a pot of water to boil, once boiling put the cauliflower in there for approximately 9-10 minutes (until tender).
Remove, drain, add seasonings and mash by hand, mixer or food processor(i used a mixer).
and ENJOY!

Depending on your carbohydrate intake for a more creamy consistency you can add cheese, creamy dressing, sour cream or additional butter to taste.

There are SOO many recipes out there for cauliflower mash! So get on pinterest and check them out!
Hope everyone is having a great Wednesday! Much love, xoxo

I would love tips, advice and recipes(food or shakes)

5 Positive things about myself

I thought I should keep up the motivation train and say some positive things about myself today.

  1. I love when i have my pretty days :) it really shows, just like in this picture. I know I am pretty
  2. I am a fun person. I may not be as fun or as much as a social butterfly like I use to be, but i am not a boring person, just gotta have the right people around me.
  3. I am the blondest brunette you will ever meet, this is positive because well that means i can make someone laugh with my sillyness. :)
  4. I am for the most part easy to get along with, when i feel like that connection with someone we generally are friends for life.
  5. I have a huge heart. My heart has room for anyone who wants me in their life and respects me and treats me like I would them.

Now a little back tracking to Fathers Day.
We got Delaney for the day, it was extra special because we got to have her over to the new/old house and show her awesome room! Which she approved! We ate lunch at Texas Road house and had a busy afternoon. Here are a couple pictures :)

Tevis is a great father. He is a fun loving dad who is always gonna be there for his little girl. I hope and pray one day he can be a father to a baby of our own one day.
Hope everyone had a great Wednesday!

here is my MOTIVATION....

Things are about to get real on the blog today....
jaws may drop and i may cry.

Looking back through pictures I cant believe i thought i was FAT in high school, gosh, to have that body back. I would slap the crap outta myself for one, WOW WOW WOW!
I am gonna post some pictures, this will hopefully help with some motivation. I need Tevis to take some "before" pictures of my whole body and have him help measure myself so i can document my progress.

Now that we have finally moved and things are going to get much better, especially my anxiety. I need to get back on the wagon, i really want a gym membership, only $10 a month, i can do that!

back in 2007, i was 18, had braces and look i am in a TWO PIECE. NO idea what my weight was, but good enough to be in that bathing suit. I remember that summer i was at my lowest. I wore shorts and tank tops a lot.

lets fast forward to 2010.... this is what happens when you get braces off, get comfortable in a relationship, birth control, infertility issues, etc etc.
Now...2013...i think the above picture in 2010 i was at my heaviest... i am currently at 210lbs. over the course of a year i have only lost roughly 10-15lbs... in my head i am dancing, but I KNOW and smarter to know that i could have done way more to increase those numbers. My OBGYN is glad to see a drop in weight, but needs to be a bigger drop.

I know i am in a better place now to get moving and lose some weight. I want to see the scale go down a lot. I want to be out of Plus Size clothing. I don't like the word "diet" and i don't like counting calories. I must find something that will work for me. It was very hard for me to post these pictures, i don't feel like big but i know I am. Thought about liquid diet, but don't want to starve myself. I think i need to maybe start off by doing the Detox Erica did @ Loyal Run..read that HERE... and then just eat clean as possible along with NO junk food, pop, and fast food. Eating out is something we do often, it just happens and is more convenient  I just need to order better stay away from the really bad foods. I get on and off the wagon A LOT. It happens, to us all, the point is getting back on. I will of course get to exercising too, need to burn calories. I think a gym membership is my best idea right now.
I have a 5K race in September i signed up for, i want to be able to walk/run without dieing.
Please give words of advice, encouragement and praise... i do not need negative comments! Thanks! I can DO THIS!

I CAN DO THIS.

For months now my best friend and I have been talking about being each others buddies for working out and eating better, even from far away. I tried dieting last fall yes I lost about 15lbs, but i obsessed over counting calories and it just got too be too much for me. I cant obsess over things like that or be on a so called "diet". I need to eat "clean" and watch my portions, junk food, pop, and candy.

So in order to keep my goal of staying active & losing some weight. I signed up for the Color Me Rad 5K in Indianapolis in September. It will give me the motivation to keep exercising all summer so I don't look like a fool at the race. I am glad Erica and I chose this one because there is really no pressure to race and be #1 its suppose to be fun and for a good cause.

I first started by telling Tevis that Erica and I were going to sign up for the 4 mile run/walk in fort Wayne and asking him to get a gym membership so I can get some exercise in. He doesn't think I'll go to the gym by myself, he may be right. I hate thinking i will be the fat girl in the gym. I gotta get over that fear. I have an exercise bike at home but i don't think it gives me the exercise I need, i just sit down and sit back and peddle. It doesn't look like an actual bike. I hate going out to run or walk in the country because it just feels so unsafe, and then when we move i can ride my bike around the addition and walk/run on the sidewalks. I am gonna work on this.... below picture
So then i got to my parents house and told everyone about the Color Me Rad 5K... i was excited to tell my dad because he is was a big runner back in the day, now i don't think he thinks i will/can do it. But hey i can prove him wrong, right? Everyone was supportive which is nice, no one was telling me not to do it or you cant. Its 3.1  miles and i think with training over the summer I can do this. Oh man, i am so extremely nervous and have no confidence but I start walking and running i will build up my body and be able to do this. Along the way hopefully losing weight and making myself feel 100x's better. This is a huge step for me and all i am looking for is support and encouragement. Tevis even said he would be there at the race to cheer me on.

Time for a LIFE STYLE change

Happy Tuesday loves!

I am linking up today for a Just Because Post with, Lisetta & Catalyn.

Check them out and link up! You can talk about anything just has to be posted TODAY.

I thought i would start my weight loss journey and make it public on my blog, its the best place to get big support and encouragement.

I hate talking about my weight and I hate being overweight, but it’s mostly all my fault. One reason why I got this way is because of polycystic ovary syndrome (so easy to gain and harder to lose) & other part is laziness. So it’s about damn time I do something about it. I never stick with diets or exercise, just can’t flipping do it. I hate counting calories and everything is just so expensive so I stop buying the “good” Healthy food.

I need to cut out junk food, candy, and pop. I do not drink a lot of pop but occasionally I do. I am not a heavy pop drinker by any means. Junk food and candy are my weakness that will take some work finding healthier snacks. I need to do some research and start getting lists of foods together. I want to start eating better little by little. So it’s not a big drastic change for my body.

Having PCOS I need to be mainly on a low carb diet, which means this would help out Tevis too with his diabetes. I love my pasta and mashed potatoes so I will really need to watch those. That will be the hardest of all.

My current weight: 215
My short term goal is to be 195lbs by July. I just want outta the 200’s
My long term goal is to be 160’s by end of the year.
My goals may change. I def. don’t want to overdo it or make too hard of a goal.

I really just overall want to feel better inside. I never have any energy and always feel lousy after a terrible meal, especially carby meals. In the past when I was eating better and exercising I felt better and had more energy. I need to get on some vitamins too that will help.

My sweet boyfriend always tells me if you want to lose weight, fine, I will help you but don’t do it for me because I love you for you & etc. etc. I do feel I am doing it for him, I want him to have a hot young girlfriend, ya know? I need to do it for me, for my health and to be able to be more active with Delaney.

So I hope I can do this this time around. I don’t work and I have plenty of time to exercise, I JUST NEED TO MAKE THE EFFORT! I need all the support and encouragement I can get. Thanks in advance!

My heart is heavy for the victims of yesterday. My thought and prayers go out to everyone who is affected by this. I hope they find who did this and why. I hope there are no more reports of people dieing. Just breaks my heart how hideous people are in this world. Hug your loved ones today! Everyday!
