TGIF. 5 on FRIDAY

The blogging community was really quite and I missed everyone! My 4th of July was different from years past, we didnt get a change to go see any fireworks, didn't have Delaney to take to any either:(  and I wasn't with my family shooting roman candles at each other, haha. Today is FRIDAY and i am glad, Delaney will be here tonight for A WHOLE week and before she gets here we are going to buy flowers, pick out rock and have dinner with our very dear Friend Karen. :)

  1. I am not a cook, i never cared to learn and when i was living with my parents, the kitchen was my moms territory, you cant get in her way. Well now that we are on our own i am TRYING to cook. Tevis is actually picky and hates chicken but i am trying my best. I get sad when he doesn't care for something I've cooked but he eats it, i guess that's OK. Yesterday we tried out our very first crock pot meal. Vegetable beef stew and we have NO LEFT overs. It was a hit and Tevis' belly was satisfied.

    2. Our 4th of July was just Tevis and I. We slept in until 11, got ready for the day, i did some homework, and we got all the food into the crock pot to start cooking. I asked Tevis to go bowling, i needed to practice. We then spent the rest of the day watching movies and just hanging out together. Around 930-10 we decided to go sit out in the garage and watch people shoot off fireworks around the neighborhood, we seen some pretty ones :)

    3. I got new Essie the other day and one color i got was Sand Topez. I do not like it and I am being a good best friend and giving it my best friend Erica.

    4. You may hear me talk a lot about our best friends Bob and Karen, their son Matt who lives out in San Diego, California. He needs A LOT OF prayers. He had seriously a little fall last week that ended up tearing some arteries and blood vessel in his leg, and now has developed blood clots in his legs and lungs. We need prayers that he will be okay. Thank you!

    5. I miss my best friend Erica like no other. Every time i get to go home we can never have the time we need together :( I pray she can make it to Indy sometime and we get the time we need and deserve. We are best friends that live over 2 hours away but talk on a daily basis. I love how distance isn't hurting us, but its not helping us either. WE NEED BEST FRIEND TIME!

Have a good Friday Everyone! Be safe this weekend and enjoy more 4th of July festivities and family time.

Thirsty Thursday

Hopelessly Ever After

I believe this is the first July 4th that i HAVE NOT seen fireworks or enjoyed family time with my family and had fun shooting each other with roman candles. So happy 4th of july everyone. Happy Independence day everyone! Be safe, have fun, and have a drink for me y'all!

Today i wanted to share with you a new drink i came across over the weekend. Its easy, all you have to do is GO BUY IT! :)
We bought some yesterday at the store, so i am enjoying today after having a rough evening with school work!

I use to LOVE Smirnoff and have not enjoyed any of them for a long time, i tend to get too drunk too fast on them but when a family friend brought these over I HAD to try it and oh my, they are dangerous. I love how its not strong and taste like orange juice, hehe. So i am enjoying one tonight and loving every sip. Have a great Thursday everyone!

Healthy Wednesday

Tevis got a Healthy Living magazine in the mail the other day and there are some interesting facts & thought i should start doing Healthy Wednesdays to keep everyone informed and motivated. I am doing my own little goals to help myself get into a new healthy life style.

Today i wanted to first share...

5 ways to stay injury free while exercising and getting fit.

  1. Create a game plan- when exercising most injuries occur in the frontal and transverse plans of motion, which includes side-to-side and rotational movements. Learn to use multiple planes of motion on your workouts. Try side lunges or lateral walks, a rotational movement would be mimicking a golf swing with floor to overhead diagonals using a medicine ball or dumbbell. Also incorporate cardiovascular, resistance and flexibility training into your program.
  2. Introduce yourself to a foam roller- proper use of a foam roller will help realign your muscles, resulting in better movement patterns that decrease your change of injury.
  3. Be kind to your muscles- to prepare your muscles for a vigorous workout, try stretching before or a 5-10 minute brisk walk before your normal routine.
  4. Listen to your body- The saying, "no pain, no gain" isn't always true to joint pain, and when you feel pain to the knees, neck, lower back, etc. stop the exercise and listen to your body. Use lighter weights or shorten the range or motion
  5. Learn from a fitness professional- Getting advice from a trainer wont hurt, it may give you some insight to what kind of things you should be doing that fits your body.

Next I read about some things we can eat and take to give us some natural energy. It does not matter how much i slept the night before or what i did during the day by the time 2pm or 3pm rolls around i always want to take a nap, i always say i need/want a pick me up.

B vitamins- foods that include these are, cheese, eggs, lamb and fish, as well as fortified cereals and soy products. There are also many multi-vitamins that include B-complex vitamins.

Caffeine-  when used in moderation, caffeine stimulates the central nervous system and can support metabolism, mental alertness and energy levels. Natural foods and beverages include, coffee, tea, kola nuts and chocolate. Caffeine is also added to many energy drinks and sodas and cane be taken in supplement form.

Chromium- this mineral support healthy glucose levels and carbohydrate metabolism, which may support every levels and promote a healthy body weight. Whole grain foods, green beans, broccoli and bran cereals have this mineral.

Ginseng- A study in psycho pharmacology found that ginseng may support mental function. It may encourage the uptake of blood in blood glucose by the brain. It can be taken as a supplement or the dry root added to tea or chewed

Green Coffee- unroasted green coffee bean supports energy levels. It can be taken as a supplement or added to a beverage.

Green Tea- it boosts energy levels and support healthy blood glucose and metabolism. Dried tea leaves are available in capsule form or liquid extract can be made from the leaves and leaf buds.

Guarana- This can be taken as a supplement or added to food and beverages,

Multi-vitamin- There are plenty of multi vitamins to choose from that boosts energy and support metabolism.

Taurine- this is found in meat and fish proteins.

Weekend recap on a Tuesday :) In photos of course!

Hello loves!
Life has been super busy and summer is literally slipping away from me. BOOO

I hope everyone had a great weekend and is having a great week so far. I spent this past weekend at my parents house. IT WAS FINALLY BABY SHOWER TIME!!! I will show you guys a more pictures later one when we get them back from the photographer, but here is a post in pictures of our weekend :)

The boyfriend & I <3

setting up and great ready for the baby shower, it started off as a disaster, we booked WAY in advance and it was just fully paid off last Monday and the hotel DID not know we were coming. So room wasn't ready and AC wasn't turned on. Haley is 36 weeks pregnant, and needless to say she was miserable.

look how cute these are!

One day we had taco bell, i got ALL these saying 'will you marry me', i took it as a sign and smiled at Tevis, haha.
She is measuring smaller them most women, but baby Taelynn is doing just fine :)

Big Hay Hay and little Hay Hay She is our friends daughter

This is hanging up at my parents house. These two amazing people are my Grandma and Grandpa Snyder who both passed away towards the end of my Junior year of HS in 2006. Weekends like we just had makes me miss them so much and wish they were here today to celebrate their new great grandbaby

I got a lot of awesome mail come monday, I got this post card from my Hello June box swap partner. Mariko Budziak I showed Tevis and he thought this was the coolest thing ever. By the way girly, your gift should be coming to you shortly! June was ONE BUSY MONTH

MORE MAIL, even better it was my new ESSIE polish! I bought these 3 for i believe $15.50 they retail in the stores for $8, WINNING!

I am not a Disney movie club member. I got all this for only $1... i signed up for 2 years..and in those two years i must buy at least 5 movies at regular cost. I can buy whenever through out the years, I didn't think it was a bad idea and i get to get a hold of some pretty awesome deals.

So here is the transformation so far of my laundry room! Goes from ugly vinyl floor and white walls to new flooring and coffee kiss color on the walls. :)

We found this bedding we LOVE. it will so perfect in our bedroom, i think we are going to pick out two different color grays for the walls.

Delaney's closet is all done, we took her two colors we painted her walls and feather dusted the paint on the walls in her closet, she is going to LOVE IT. All thanks to my dear friend Karen.

I can't believe it is july 2nd...Delaney starts back to school july 31st, i feel like the summer has just slipped by us!

My niece should be here within the next month. And my very best friend Megan is having a girl, so i am having another niece :)

As much as i want to be a mother, i will just kidnap(joking) and play with these babies all around me,  i will be the BEST AUNT EVER! Happy Tuesday my bloggy friends.
