New Chapter! Life is good!

Hello everyone!! I hope i have been missed, i know i have missed the blogging community!
I hope everyone enjoyed the girls who guest posted for me. I appreciate it so much.
As of last Sunday, we closed and opened up a new chapter. We are in our own house and doing lots and lots of work to it, this house needed some major TLC, and let me tell you it is getting it! I will have posts up soon of before and afters. I cant wait to show everything off!

One of the reasons for this blog was to talk about my PCOS and TTC(trying to conceive) Well today i had the pleasure of having my yearly appointment.

As if those appointments aren't awkward enough, i was sweating bullets because it was hot and i was scared for bad news, I ended up sweating so much the paper on the table stuck to my ass, SO EMBARRASSING LOL.

So everything looked and felt good my doctor said i was relieved just gotta wait on pap results. I will always worry but know Everything is OK.

We talked about starting to for real try for a BABY! First thing we need to do is tevis need to go see a Urologist, which we got a referral. Once we go there we will know more answers. I don't want to go into great detail, so i can respect tevis' privacy, but he has some issues due to diabetes so we gotta figure out our options.

Only bad news was, my blood pressure was high, PCOS, stress, and worrying all was apart of that.

Good news..... last June at my visit i was 220lbs.... back in November i got up to i think 226 and weighed in today... 210lbs(with clothes on)... WAHOOOO! that makes me happy, and makes sense on how my body has been working and i have been having aunt flow visit on her own. All she wants me to do is get back into exercising and keep losing that weight. My goal was to be right under 200 by June, but life got in the way. I have a 5K in September and I will be ready for it :) gotta be able to keep up with my best friend Erica!

Also, welcome all new followers, i hope you stick around and read about my everyday life, i am a random blogger! :)

here is a little preview of some stuff we have done outside! :) I am so happy to be a homeowner! Lots of work but we have the best help ever.
Before

Big bushes are out but not even close to be completely done yet.  JUST STAY tuned :)

Guest Post, Get to know Simply Sami

Hello to everyone here at Lady Luck! Hope you all are having a great Thursday!!!

I blog over at Simply Sami.

Since some of you do not know who I am....here are 25 things you may or may not know about me!

1. I am a 30 year old, stay at home mom to the most awesome 3 year old (Nathan) ever!! My hubby is Brian.

2. Being a SAHM is not by choice....someone help me find a job!!

3. I have lived in Illinois all my life, but have moved like 10 times.

4. My maiden name (Bertram) is a character on Family Guy, a character from the Sandlot, a town in Texas (and other states, too), a brand of yachts and in a title of a book. (and there may be others)

5.  I do not like raw tomatoes, but I like ketchup, pasta/pizza sauce, stewed tomatoes and tomato soup.

6. I had braces in 6th grade until the end of my freshman year of high school because I hated wearing the little rubber band things at night when I was supposed too.

7. I will always be a Chicago Cubs fan even if we don't win this year (or next year). And, I will never ever, ever be a Sammy Sosa fan.

8. I was a swim instructor for the Mathewson's for 4 years. The pool was in their backyard, we had 600 kids come through in a summer, ages 3-14 and I taught my little brother and sisters to swim and dive. Oh, and my first job was as a lifeguard at the "pit" in Forrest (the small town I grew up in).

9. I love softball, but I didn't play my sophomore, junior or senior year of high school. I did however play Bradley Women's Club Softball for 3 years.

10. We (BU Club Softball) had one game our first year against U of I and had only 7 people. We lost.

11. I was a cheerleader in 8th grade. GO! FIGHT! WIN!

12. I bought myself a coach purse when I graduated from Bradley in 2006.

13. I am a pencil person not a pen person.

14. I love peanuts, yet I do not like to eat peanuts in cookies, chocolate, etc.

15. I love strawberries and kiwi's but do not like drinking them together. Anything strawberry kiwi makes me nauseous.

16. I am a social media junkie. I check my Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest like 3 times an hour. Seriously. I am addicted.

17. My phone is never more then 10 feet away from me. Hence #16.

18. . I have a brother that is 10 years younger than me, a sister that is 12 years younger than me and another sister that is 14 years younger than me.

19. My sister, Maggie (12 years younger...), died last year in a car accident. She was 16. I miss her everyday. Always & Forever Maggie. Check out my Running 4 Maggie page.

20. I participated (high school) in the madrigals, choir, band, marching band, jazz band, jazz choir, and the musical for 5 years, including my 8th grade year. I played the flute, tuba (8th grade with Marcus Miller), and saxophone. I usually sang alto.

21. I still love to play beer pong in our garage! Yes, I played in College and it reminds me of back then. Come on over and challenge me!

22. My nicknames are Sami, Sam, Samster the Hamster (thanks DJ),  Shock and Aw (I have huge boobs) and Sami Kooz (I will explain below).

23. Brian's nicknames are Cheese and Ciaccio (our last name). When we first met, I thought his name was Ciaccio because that is what everyone called him.

24. I call Nathan, Nate-Dog, Nate, bubba, bubby, little man, bugger, bubba man, mister man, and pretty much anything ending with man. LOL.

25. I carry a koozie with me at all times. Seriously. I have 2 in my car and 1 in my purse all the time. I use it at the bar and someone always comments on it. It's my thing.

That's it. There ya go. Hope you learned a lot about me! Good luck to Britney on the rest of her moving and thank you for having me guest blog!

Guest Post, Get to know Jodi @ Love and Crayons.

thanks so much jodi for guest posting and keeping my blog going while i am busy getting all moved you are such a sweet, beautiful & kind woman. Enjoy readers and followers, she has some good/funny things to say!

*********************************************************************************

Hey everyone, my name is Jodi and usually you can find me blogging over at Love and Crayons where I talk about my daily life as a mom to two super cute little boys and wife to one amazing husband Jason, and the lovely Britney has asked me to guest post for her while she is getting all moved in to her new home! Yay, congratulations to Britney and Tevis on the move!! This is only my second guest post, ever, and I must say that its nerve racking writing on someone else's page!! I don't consider myself to be all that exciting, unless toddler play dates, poopy bums and spilled milk is your thing!! So today I thought I'd spice it up and tell you some funny/embarrassing/little known facts about me!
  • When I was younger I thought mint flavored Rolaids were candy and I used to steal them and hide them under my pillow to eat after I went to bed. My mom wondered why my pillow smelt like mint, and then she found my stash!
  • This was around the same time I started to chew my toenails. No, I never ate them, just chewed them off. Who needs nail clippers anyway? Oh if only I had that much flexibility still.
  • I work in dental, am in peoples mouths all the time but I hate when saliva touches my gloves. It creeps me out!
  • There used to be a kids singing group up here in Canada called "Sharon, Lois and Bram", they had their own TV show. I used to pretend I shared a bunk bed with them and we would sing all night long.
  • If I could do anything, it would be to carry a tune. I love to sing, know all the words to songs, but sound like crap! Even my two year old tells me to stop! Ouch!
  • I can swear like a trucker!
  • I do listen to, and like, country music!
  • I can be way, way, way too sensitive and hate when I feel like I'm being left out of things.
  • I am a true blonde. I have said and done way too many things to list like asking why they only mowed one patch of grass in the middle of a field when the week before there was a giant barn torn down leaving an empty patch of grass. And one day when leaving work I reached into my bag for my sunglasses while talking to the girls. I put them on and thought things looked weird, blurry almost, like I had on prescription sunglasses, all of the girls started laughing at me and I kept asking them why. What was so funny. They asked me if I was being serious. Turns out one of the lenses had fallen out in my bag, I didn't notice when I put them on and I was standing there talking to them like normal with one lens out of my sunglasses! I was pregnant at the time, so my excuse was "baby brain" which still hasn't left me, by the way!!
Well, there you have it. Not all funny, not all embarrassing, but all true facts about me. Stop by and check out my blog, I'll try to keep you entertained! Thanks Britney for asking me to guest post, I hope your new place is everything you could want!! Andy's birfday3
