Dear Grandma!

Dear Grandma!

You have been missed beyond words for the last seven years, SEVEN years? I just cant even believe it.  I sit here and think about all you and grandpa have missed in my life, but i have to sit back and remember you are watching me, always watching me. I so wish i could talk to you right now, could use some encouragement. I miss the sound of you voice, i need to go to mom and dads and watch some home videos of when we were younger. I know you see the struggles Tevis and I are going through and I only hope you send some sunshine down on us, to know we are going down the right path and that things will be okay. I so wish you could have met Tevis, I know you two would have loved him and i know you and grandpa see how happy he makes me and how i am very well taken care of. There is not a day that goes by that i don't think of you grandma! Around holidays, your birthday, the day you left us, ALL THE TIME! Every time i am on the interstate and see one of those CRST semi trucks all i can do is smile, i don't see them often and when i do I feel like its a sign from you and grandpa, that things are going to be ok or its going to be a good day. The same day we lost you is the same day Delaney was born, Tevis' daughter. This Saturday marked 7 years, and I was occupied with Delaney's birthday but i never forgot about you. We miss you so much grandma and you too grandpa! I hope you are up there enjoying the after life and watching all of us from time to time. I hope you are proud of me and where my life is going because in every decision I make i always have you two in mind. I love you both! See you again! XOXO

Journey To Walking Again

It has been almost a full year since Tevis was able to walk again. As you've read through my two posts about Tevis in the tab called Tevis' Story, you know last Feb he had a below the knee amputation on his left leg. He spent about 2-3 months, maybe little longer, confined to a wheel chair. Thinking about it now doesn't seem like a long time, but living and being with tevis for that time it seemed like 6 months. Just think how you would feel being confined to a wheel chair and not be able to walk, stand up, or even take a regular shower ever again. Going places took a bit longer, I had to get him into the car, then fold his wheel chair up and put it in the trunk, then get it out when we got to wherever we were going, I swear i built some muscles doing it. Well He got his first prosthetic leg in May of last year if I remember right. It has been a battle but he is overall doing very well and he is finally getting his final permanent leg and should be able to enjoy life better.

I want to share some photos & videos later...& bare with my because they are just iPhone pictures.
His very first time trying out his leg and walking and standing up for the first time in months!
This is from his fundraiser his friends, family and I threw for him & just showing how he was confined to a wheel chair.
Tevis home last spring/summer with his very first leg & of course its colts!
I hope to post some videos sometime...
Until then Just pray for Tevis for he has a life time of struggles!

Eating Cleaning

Since I have PCOS, and i do not have any friends who have it. My best friend Erica got me into joining some groups on Facebook. I have loved reading stories and getting advice. A lot of girls talk about eating clean and just overall changing your lifestyle. For us ladies with PCOS its very easy to gain weight and very hard to get it off. Losing weight will help us regulate AF better and become fertile. SO I have been researching the lifestyle change and diets these ladies post.

Eating Clean:
Eating Clean is treating your body right.
It is eating the way nature intended. You eat the foods our bodies evolved to function best on, and that makes you feel – and look – fantastic. When you Eat Clean you eat more often. You will eat lean protein, complex carbs, and healthy fats. These practices keep your blood-sugar levels stable and keep you satisfied. The best part is that if you need to lose weight it will happen almost without you having to try. And yes, you can have a treat now and again.
Best of all, Eating Clean keeps you feeling great and full of energy. In fact, you can forget all about the days when “dieting” meant feelings of hunger, lethargy or deprivation.
Eating Clean is not a fad; it’s a way of life. When you Eat Clean your body will react by losing weight if you need to lose, maintaining a healthy weight if that’s where you are, and even gaining weight if you are too skinny. But regardless of whether you want to lose, maintain or gain, you will feel better than you ever have before.
Never worry about counting calories again. You will never have to diet. Eating Clean will keep you lean and healthy for the rest of your long life. Eating Clean guarantees results!

Yes i want to see me lost some weight, i would overall feel better. I am at my heaviest and i am so determined to change that, i just haven't had much motivation lately. Clean eating will also just make you feel better inside and out, for example...we were gone all day and ate out for both lunch and dinner, why couldn't i have had a salad or something light and less carby, i went for the bad food and felt miserable! I am ready to feel better and have more energy. I will periodically post clean eating recipes, check them out under my Recipe Tab.Wish me luck with my transition into clean eating and taking better care of myself!

I follow a couple girls that are so inspirational and eat clean and work out. Check them out for advice and some motivation! SkinnyMeg & Mamalaughlin

It made it seem so real, it was so amazing to hear! I am so excited & yet it seems so surreal, i don't think it will fully kick in until i can hold that baby girl in my arms!

spring break, HA!

I am on spring break this week, i am so glad not to have to deal with homework this week. I love this much needed break! So this time last year we were breaking record highs for the temperature. This year we are at the end of a winter storm! CRAZY! I am ready for flip flop weather! Where are you spring...where are you?

There are a couple pictures of our spring winter storm. So cold out! & the rest of the week we will be up in the mid to high 40's so I am sure this snow wont last very long!
This is the temp. for March 20th, first day of Spring! My quote for the day was "spring my ass, lol"

I finally got to do something for myself! :) Since Tevis couldn't get me anything for my birthday and valentines day and we have some money he said i could pick something to do for myself. So last week I got my hair colored and then Saturday I got my nails done with my mom. We have been at my moms for a week now, and if we could we'd stay longer! We were suppose to leave today but due to snow we decided to wait it out and we will have to def. leave tomorrow to get to tevis' appointment for his FINAL permanent prosthetic leg.

Hope everyone enjoys their Monday and hope everyone stays warm!

Cake Mix Cookie Bars

*recipe is from a family friend who brought them over last week when we had friends over for a steak dinner!
*sorry no pictures for this one, totally forgot and then they were ALL gone!

*Prep Time: 5 minutes
*Cook Time: 20-30 minutes

1 box yellow cake mix
1 small box instant vanilla pudding
1/4 cup water
3/4 cup oil
2 eggs
1 cup of whatever flavor chips you want.
( Reese is THE BEST in my opinion, & m&M's)

Preheat oven: 350 degrees
Combine cake mix, pudding mix, water, oil, eggs and chips into a large bowl. Pour the batter (its going to be thick) into a greased 10x13 baking dish pan. Bake for 20-30 minutes. It may look raw in the middle but if the edges are golden brown and looks crispy then its perfect!

Cut and ENJOY! This is a must make dessert! its very yummy!

Little girl who has my heart!

When Tevis and I started dating I knew he had a daughter and I knew one day when he was ready he would introduce us. What I didn’t know was the love I would have for this child. I met her and she had basically just turned 5, now she will be 7 in a week. Doesn’t seem like two years and let me tell you this.. I love that little girl as my own! I kind of have in the back of my head I won’t be a mother, Tevis won’t have another kid, and she won’t get to be a big sister. SO I like being in that mother role when she is with us, I want to be a mother so bad and Delaney is the closest thing I will get to that probably. I of course can and will NEVER take the place of her own mother, but Delaney is pretty lucky to have two sets of great parents in her life. She is one loved girl and gets lots of attention! Being a step-mom though can be hard to adjust to, I never want to over step my boundaries for one, and I hate being the bad guy and discipline her but she has to know I am boss. I had the hardest time at first getting her to realize she has to listen to me. We would butt heads a lot. We both have attitude like no other and are stubborn and don’t like to share either LOL.  With time it’s gotten so much better. Everything that has gone on with Tevis, I do a lot for him and Delaney, so Delaney has gotten use to me being more of a parent. If I need Tevis to step in he will. Tevis is a great dad, I can’t tell any of you this enough or emphasize on how lucky Delaney is to have a dad that actually cares and loves her and wants to see her. I know a lot of low dead beat dads. Tevis is def. far from that!  Being a step-mom is a choice a choice I made when I decided Tevis was who I wanted. This child your boyfriend/girlfriend has will be forever apart of your life so don’t take that choice lightly. It is a big responsibility, especially to me who was just 21 years old. I Love the decision and made and though I don’t feel complete yet, one day I hope I can make Delaney a big sister, she would be a great big sister!!!

Please feel free to ask advice, vent or need someone to talk to, I am here for ya! Hope everyone has a great weekend!

So i thought I would give a little shout out to my girls!!

Crazy Indiana Weather!

I wouldn't move away from Indiana mainly because of my family, but gosh darn it...
I believe next Thursday is first day of spring, k Indiana lets act like it! So i have been checking the weather all week because I knew Delaney was coming for the weekend and I wanted to help her on her 4H project and take her to the park close by and take some pictures. Beginning of the week the weather said mid 50's, i was excited about that. It literally changed everyday, gr, So woke up today i look outside I see SUNSHINE and check my phone it says 51 degrees, NOPE my phone was wrong it was actually 43. By the time we ate lunch and got to the park the sunshine was gone. :(
The park just isn't pretty enough to find anything to take pictures of. So we just played for a little bit, we didn't prepare for how cold we would be after 10-15 minutes but we had a blast regardless and i cannot wait for warm weather and to go back with her! :)
Pictures from today, Man has it been a long time since i have been on a swing!
After our time at the park we warmed up in the car, which i am thankful for seat warmers and that the car heats up FAST, we went to Meijer so we could get a few things and I wanted to get Delaney a cute Birthday outfit!
Tie dye kinda looking and YELLOW! SCORE!
She will be SEVEN in exactly two weeks!!!!!!!!!
The rest of our Saturday has been spent on eating dinner and relaxing, its about to be shower time and I am sure Delaney will be passed out soon shes been so quite this evening. I think I wore her out! :)
Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend!
Much love, XoXo!

Hey my viewers! Happy Friday! I was up until almost 4am, thanks to my boyfriend, So i am very tired! Should sleep good tonight! He has a cold and a bad cough, and got a really high fever over the night so was up making sure he was ok. He seems to have more energy today just that darn cough is terrible, even with cough medicine and cough drops! I was looking forward to Friday because 1-Tevis was suppose to be getting his new prosthetic leg, which we go today and find out it was too long of a process so will go back Monday or Tuesday to get it. So they just was fitting him up for it and i posted a couple pictures to show ya what went on today.

and then the second reason....
Its our weekend with DELANEY! Her mom dropped her off with us at Tevis' appointment so she got to meet Tim(Dr. Hot-stuff) hehe. When we got home it was still decent out so we stayed and played outside for just a little bit! I hope tomorrow is somewhat decent so I can take her to the park for a little bit and take some pictures for her 4H project!  Overall it was a good day, nothing too exciting going on, just glad to have Delaney for the weekend! Tevis is to stay off his leg most of the weekend, so we don't have any plans really. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

  5. How brave he is
  6. His sense of humor
  7. His hugs
  8. His kisses
  9. How he is my best friend
  10. How he is my biggest supporter always has my back
One of my favorite pictures of him at a Colts football game. One of our many things we love to do together and have in common! I love my man, and i love that smile oh so much!

I wanna say YES!

I watch snooki and jwow! Only reason why this season is because I wanted to see snooki become a mom and etc.. Tonight's episode include the most awesome proposal!
Jenny and roger!
He first tricks her with an amazing dinner.. Pink and black limo ride...she is so confused because it reads all over that he's popping the question! Then few days later he wants to take her sky diving and purpose when they land! He has a big banner and gets on one knee and asks her and the ring is massive! Then they go home on a nice limo and their bedroom is all done up for a nice romantic night. I cried!! It was an amazing thought out proposal! And all I can think about is i hope tevis comes up with an awesome way to do it that we will remember forever and can talk about for years! I know he wants to get married and that day will come I will be patient! He is so worth it and I love him so much and can't see my life without him! Hate shows that make me cry! It was a good one though! I am so lucky and thankful to have tevis!

To all my viewers! I hope you all are having a good week!

Take one Day at a time, Britney!

I am having one of those days where I am over thinking things, worrying about things that I cannot control right now and stressing over stuff that we have unanswered questions too. I needed my good cry which I GOT. Talked to Tevis about everything, we did not have a good afternoon but everything is ok I am ok and I gotta take one day at a time. Having so many unanswered questions is killing me but as long as I have Tevis to go down this road with I am going to be okay. I seen this bible verse down below on Facebook and it literally spoke to me So I am sharing. Someone out there is having a worse time in life then I am. I need to sit back and remember all the things I have and how good I have it. I love my life, my friends, my family, Tevis, & Delaney. Life will be okay and each day is closer to us moving into our own house! I hope Everyone had a better MONDAY then I did.

Weekend Catch up!

Hello My Viewers! I hope everyone had a great weekend!

I sadly did not take ANY pictures over my weekend which is totally not like me, but we had a great weekend! Thursday started off with vising Travis our friend that is very sick, they let him go home Friday mainly because he has no insurance and he is stable enough, just need to get back for tests and surgery. They are slowly but surely figuring him out. Thursday night was just a relaxing night home together watching TV and playing Hay Day on my iPhone and tevis' iPad, LOL. I know we lead a exciting life. Friday we knew our Friend/Storm Bowling rep was coming for the night, we picked him up at his hotel and went to Expo(bowling center) to watch our friends bowl and hang out until Dinner at our fave Friday night spot for some amazing Mexican food, El Mesen. Night of seeing people we haven't seen in awhile and lots of laughing. We haven't been able to go out and do stuff so now we are and its a great feeling. Our friends have missed us :) Tevis has a great group of friends who have welcomed me with open arms, i have developed amazing friendships. Saturday we planned a WHOLE day with tevis' best friend Mark his wife Melissa. Met at their house around noon and ate at this hibachi grill buffet for lunch, OMG it was amazing, lots of food and a wide variety and for tevis and I to eat it was just under $20. We hung out at Marks house and waited for more friends to show up. Everyone hung out, talked, laughed, played cards, tried out our soda stream machine and worked on the Derby bowling tournament that goes on every year in June. if you don't know me, well my life revolves around BOWLING, I use to work at a bowling distributor and met Tevis who helps manage pro shops around the Indy and Greenwood area. Everyone we hang out with is a bowler. & back to my saturday, another main reason for getting together was to eat some CHICKEN WINGS. Tevis has told me about them and said he will ruin any traditional wing i ever eat again. HE WAS RIGHT! they were amazing and we probably went through 200 wings, maybe more. We got home around midnight, and ended up staying up really late and losing an hour since it was Spring Forward, LOL. Only good thing is now it stays light out later and it will start getting WARMER out, yay! Our Sunday consisted of finishing up HW and started getting ahead on next weeks, I have two weeks left then a spring break, & being lazy and never got our of my PJS lol.

GOOD NEWS!!!!!!!!!! I am going to my parents next Wednesday through the weekend, YAY! Cant wait to hang out with my family and see some friends!

A sort of lame weekend, but hey you get to know me a little more throughout what i do in my life.
